In the north west corner of London's Russell Square you may come across one of the few remaining taxi-cab shelters. So with me being rather busy with others matters relating to the world's finest taxi trade I thought we could re start this blog with a look at the corner of one of these amazing shelters.We can see on close inspection that the shelter is of wooden construction which makes it very easy to repair and maintain. I love the vertical lines mixed with a few but much stronger horizontal and vertical beams that obviously give this structure its integrity. The contrast of the green and the grey kick board or should I say skirting board works well too.
If you do happen to be in Russell Square pop along to its North West Corner and have a butchers at a building and corner of a bygone Victorian era.
